Year 'Round Recreational Programs
For Adults and Youths
The Swain County Recreation Department provides year ‘round programs for Adults and Youths and includes outdoor areas as well as an indoor recreation facility. Resources include basketball, soccer, football, tennis, free weights, playground, swimming, skateboarding and baseball. The indoor facility also has a meeting room for community use. We also work with Little League and Senior Games programs, and sponsor events such as the Santa Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt.

January • Youth Basketball – December – February
February • Day Camp Sign-ups – ages 5-12 • Youth Basketball – December – February • Little League Sign-ups sponsored by SCYAA, call local president for details
March • Spring Soccer sponsored by Camp Living Water 488-6012 • County Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, one week prior to Easter • Little League
April • Cheerleading Sign-ups – ages 6-12 (must be 6 on or before August 1 of that year and not turn 13 years of age before August 1 of that year) Cost - $56 • Little League • Spring Hikes • Swimming Lesson Sign-ups

September • Fall Soccer Sign-ups – ages 5-13 (must turn 5 on or before October 15 of that year, and not turn 14 years of age before October 15 of that year) • State Senior Games • Fall Hikes

November • Youth basketball sign-ups • Learning League - ages 6 & 7 $30 (must turn 6 by October 15 of that year) Cost - $30 • Learning League - ages 8-13 (must turn 8 by October 15, and not turn 14 years of age before October 15 of that year) Cost - $30
