911 Addressing
Our purpose is to provide a system of addressing for all residences and businesses throughout the county.
Numerical addresses will be assigned when the driveway has been established. The numerical street addresses are assigned according to the distance the driveway is located along a certain road. We do not assign 911 numbers to vacant land. To request a 911 number you may contact our office at 828-488-6021.
It is requested that the developer(s) provide a list of road names to this department for approval. They can be submitted by fax, mail, or in person.
