The Board of Commissioners meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:30 pm work session and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm regular session, unless otherwise posted. Meetings are held on the 3rd floor at the Swain County Administration Building, 50 Main St. 3rd Floor, Bryson City, NC. 28713

A swearing in ceremony for Jay Kirkland as Chairman for the S.C. Board of Commissioners, will be held Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 5:00 pm followed by the work session at 5:30 pm (see attached agenda), at the Swain County Administration Building – 50 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Bryson City, NC 28713.

Recreation Department is soliciting bids for wading pool renovations. For a copy of the schematics, please call Lottie Barker at (828) 488-9273. Submit bids to Lottie Barker, County Manager, 50 Main St, Ste 300, Bryson City, NC 28713 no later than Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at 11:00 am. The county reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
